# App/core release boundary — 4 October 2026

The application separately loads the unmodified stock FFmpeg core (wrapper 0.12.15, core 0.12.10). It communicates through CLI-style command arguments, file buffers, JSON/packet text and ordinary WebP/GIF files. It does not access the core’s internal heap, native structures, AVFrame/AVPacket pointers or shared internal memory. The upstream MIT wrapper performs the low-level bridge operations. The single-thread core uses no SharedArrayBuffer.

The engineering release assessment treats this as a separate command/file application and supplies complete corresponding core/dependency source, modifications, build controls and notices on the same site. The independent source review found no concrete missing/mismatched source or incompatible licensing requirement. FreeType’s GPL alternative is selected for the GPL core; its original notices are retained.

Worker isolation alone does not guarantee licensing separation. This record is not legal certification. The application’s sources remain private; its license and repository visibility are unchanged. No private application source is contained in this package.

Reviewed by Codex product maintainer integrating the parent-delegated independent core review, 2026-10-04. Historical mutable-ref evidence and build qualifications remain in CORE_CORRESPONDENCE.json and BUILD.md. A byte-identical rebuild was not performed and is not treated as a sole source-completeness condition.

GNU fetch timed out during integration; preserved GPL text and independently supplied primary guidance were reviewed.

The parent release owner accepted this qualified separate-program interpretation on 4 October 2026 after the independent BOUNDARY_ACCEPTANCE_ADDENDUM review. This decision does not alter the private application’s license, source visibility or repository visibility.
